Paving the way
Leeds led the way in 2005 by hosting one of England's very first civil partnerships, and the city's Freedom Quarter is a flourishing hub for LGBT nightlife, dining, and shopping. Additionally, Leeds is home to live music, street food dining, independent breweries, and culture. (A ticket to the opera for £20? Yes please!) Don't forget to hail a water taxi and cruise to and from the train station. While you're at it, stop by Flamingos for late-night coffee, sit in on a (delicious) meeting of the Yorkshire Relish Dining club, feel centered during an inclusive yoga class at Middle Floor, and blaze a trial into the beautiful Yorkshire Downs with the OutdoorLads.
